ARX-910 Outdoor (or Indoor) Wireless Installed Sound

The new member of the AiRocks Pro family is the ARX-910. It has been designed to endure the harsh ourdoor environments of permanent installations. Unlinke the ARX-900, which is "weather resistant" and designed for temporary outdoor sound production events, the ARX-910 is designed to provide years of reliable outdoor operation. The ARX-910 includes all of the advanced features of the ARX-900, including multi-hop repeater architecture, powerful network management system, and remote mounting options.

"Multi_hop" Repeater

AiRocks Pro is a "multi-hop" wireless audio system designed to cover a large outdoor area, such as a zoo, a park, a downtown district, or a large campus. Based on its novel “repeater” technology, AiRocks Pro can easily surpass the coverage area of traditional wireless audio products (see Technology page for more details). Every AiRocks Pro unit can be configured as either the main transmitter (Master) or receiver/repeater (Relay). There is nothing else like it on the market.

License-free 900MHz Spectrum

AiRocks Pro utilizes the un-crowded license-free 900MHz spectrum. No more frequency coordination or dodging TV stations! This band is "non-line-of-sight" and penetrates walls, trees, people and other obstructions that can severly limit the range of higher frequency devices, such as those that operate at 2.4GHz or 5GHz. The AiRocks Pro system can be used at distances of over 1000 feet with standard antennas under ideal conditions (400 - 600 feet practical range in a crowded venue), and up to 2000 feet (ideal) with optional directional antennas. It has also been tested in an arena environment where it penetrated several concrete walls and rows of arena seating, and a large convention center with thousands of attendees.

Powerful Transmitter

AiRocks Pro transmits an effective 158 mW of power (+22dbm) with standard antennas. And, with our optional directional 6dbi Yagi antenna, the AiRocks Pro effective output power is boosted to 398 mW (+26dbm). And, for thoses extreme cases, the AiRocks Pro has been authorized to use a 14dbi Yagi directional antenna, which means an effective transmit power of 2500 mW (2.5 Watts).

USB Extender

The USB Extender is designed for ARX-910 configuration and control. Functionally equivalent to the ARX-900-BOB but in a much smaller (2.5" x 1.5 "x .75") plastic case. Includes audio input/output connector (1/8"), and DC power input connector (5.5mm x 2.1mm) so that radio can be powered by external AC/DC wall adapter. Also includes USB interface for laptop connection for the Network Management System application. USB interface powers a 5V to 12V boost converter to provide power to the ARX-9xx radio so that no AC power is required. This particularly helpful during initial installation and network debugging. The ARX-USBEXT includes the AiRocks Pro Network Management Software.

Termination Board

The ARX-910 radio kit includes a Termination Board which provides a simple way to connect DC power and audio signals to the ARX-910. It includes a feed-thru design so that the ARX-USBEXT can be connected at the same time, simplifying set up and troubleshooting.

The ARX-910 is offered with either a pole mount or wall mount for installation flexibility
